Dear Diary

Dear diary,

Today has been one of the best days of my life as I amazingly got to visit Monkey World- which is an immense, crucial, worldwide Monkey Rescue Sanctuary in Dorset.

At about 9 o’clock, we set off from Nana and Grandads house to Monkey World( it was about an hour and a half away). When we arrived, we had to queue up for about twenty minutes before we could pay to enter. Once we entered, we immediately visited the cheeky, active Gibbons; two of them were happily playfighting. After that, we visited the adorable, clever Woolly Monkeys- one of them was so cute as it was only a few weeks old and it was staying with his mother( the leader of the pack)! Once we saw the Woolley Monkeys, we had lunch; it was delicious!

After lunch, we headed over to the funny, slow-moving Orangutans( my favourite primate)- one was posing for the camera before it hit is head and started rubbing it better( it acted so like an intelligent human)! Once we looked at the Orangutans for a while, we moved onto the Squirrel Monkeys, it had a really sad story behind it’s past but it seemed happy as he was also posing for the camera! Last of all, we walked through the Lemur Walkthrough, we visited the Lemurs just in time as the talk by the keepers was just beginning. When we entered she called ‘Lemurs, come here!’ and they all came charging past everyone and ran across fences as they knew it was feeding time- she talked for a long time about the Lemurs while the 10 Lemurs strolled about eating there snacks. Finally, we went home.

Overall, today has been one of the most exciting days of my life and I hope tomorrows as good!
